In the aftermath of recent heavy rains and flooding, the Kerrville community has shown remarkable resilience and unity. Local organizations, led by the Lions of Texas, have launched a comprehensive flood relief effort to aid those affected by the disaster. Their swift response exemplifies the true spirit of community service, turning compassion into tangible support for residents in need. This collective effort not only provides immediate relief but also fosters hope and solidarity during challenging times.
Kerrville Flood Relief Efforts: How You Can Help
Monetary donations are urgently needed and can be sent directly to:
Kerrville Host Lions Club FoundationP.O. Box 290972
Kerrville, TX 78029
Please make checks payable to Kerrville Host Lions Club Foundation and include “2025 Flood Relief” in the memo line.
The Kerrville Host Lions Club maintains direct and ongoing contact with first responders and community leaders. All donated funds will be allocated entirely to immediate relief, cleanup efforts, and support for impacted families. As conditions stabilize, the club will conduct a formal community needs assessment to determine the best way to serve in the long term.
In addition to monetary donations, the Lions of Texas have organized donation drives to collect clothing, food, and hygiene supplies for distribution to flood victims. Volunteers are providing logistical support by helping to set up shelters, arranging transportation, and coordinating cleanup crews. Local schools, churches, clubs, and businesses have joined the effort, providing shelter, emotional support, supplies, and financial support. This widespread participation is strengthening community bonds and ensuring that resources reach those most in need.
Beyond immediate relief, Lions are working with local government agencies and partner organizations to plan for long-term recovery. These initiatives include repairing infrastructure, supporting mental health services, and mobilizing volunteer teams for ongoing cleanup and rebuilding projects.
The resilience of Kerrville’s residents and the dedication of MD-2 Lions are inspiring communities across Texas. This is a moment where compassion, service, and unity shine brightest—and where every contribution makes a difference.
We are grateful for the strength and unity of our MD-2 Lions family. Thank you for standing with Kerrville.
