The Texas Lions Foundation (TLF) is a vital part of how Lions across the state respond to emergencies, support local service projects, and offer relief to communities in crisis. Established by Texas Lions, TLF provides financial assistance when it’s needed most — from natural disasters to humanitarian support, and everything in between.

The Mission

The mission of TLF is to support the humanitarian services of Texas Lions by providing matching grants for local projects and emergency grants in times of disaster. Whether it’s a flood, fire, hurricane, or pandemic, TLF is there — ready to help Texans rebuild and recover.

What TLF Does

  • Emergency Grants: Quick-response financial aid for communities affected by disasters in Texas.
  • Matching Grants: Support for Lions Clubs’ local service projects that improve quality of life.
  • Disaster Preparedness: Working hand-in-hand with Lions Clubs to ensure readiness for natural disasters and emergencies.

How District 2-E2 Supports TLF

Here in Lions District 2-E2, we are proud supporters of TLF and its commitment to serving those in need. Our clubs contribute through:

  • Annual donations from clubs and individual members.
  • Encouraging 100% club participation in giving to the foundation.
  • Raising awareness of available grant opportunities for local projects and disaster response.

Honoring Service: The TLF Fellowships

TLF recognizes outstanding service and generosity through the following awards:

  • Texas Lions Foundation Fellow: Given for a $500 donation; a meaningful way to honor a Lion or community member.
  • Progressive TLF Fellowships: Additional recognition levels for continuing support beyond the initial fellowship.
