Sherman Noon Lions Club Tees Up for 28th Annual “Fairways for Vision” Golf Tournament
The Sherman Noon Lions Club is proud to announce its 28th Annual “Fairways for Vision” Charity Golf Tournament, scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026, at Stone Creek Country Club in Sherman, Texas.
This long-standing event continues to be one of the club’s premier fundraisers, bringing together community members, local businesses, and supporters for a day of fellowship and service—all centered around a shared mission: serving those in need through vision care and community support.
Founded in 1928, the Sherman Noon Lions Club has remained committed to improving lives through eyesight conservation. Proceeds from the tournament directly benefit programs such as providing eye exams and glasses for children, supporting local families in need, and assisting youth with disabilities through specialized summer camps. In addition, funds help support organizations like Family Promise, Master Key Ministries, Texoma Exposition & Livestock Show, and scholarships at Grayson College.
The tournament will feature a four-person scramble format with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. Participants will enjoy a full day that includes green fees, cart, breakfast pastries, lunch, beverages, and an awards ceremony. The event will also include raffles, giveaways, and a poker run, making it a fun and engaging experience for all players.
Community involvement plays a vital role in the success of this event. Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels, offering businesses a chance to gain visibility while making a meaningful impact. From title sponsorships to hole sponsors, every contribution helps extend the reach of Lions service throughout the Sherman area and beyond.
The Sherman Noon Lions Club invites all Lions, friends, and community members across District 2-E2 to participate—whether by forming a team, becoming a sponsor, or contributing to the cause. With strong support, this year’s tournament promises to be another successful step in continuing the Lions mission of “giving the gift of sight.”
