TURTLE DERBY
Join us for the Bridgeport Lions Club Turtle Race at the July 20 District Meeting in Bridgeport! Clubs can sponsor a turtle for $100—hurry, we only have 12 turtles and 3 are already claimed! The sponsoring club of the winning turtle takes home half of the sponsor's pot, with the remaining funds going to the Bridgeport Lions Scholarship Fund.
Individual Lions also have an exciting chance to own one of the world's fastest turtles! For just $20, you can purchase ownership in one of these 12 amazing turtles. If your turtle wins, all owners of that turtle share half of the owners' pot, with the rest supporting the Bridgeport Scholarship Fund. Plus, the club sponsoring the turtle with the most owners gets the honor of judging the race!

Marketing Tips
Let's talk about Facebook pages for your Lions Club for visible.
Creating and maintaining a Facebook Page for your Lions Club is essential in today's digital age. Here are a few reasons why every Lions Club should have an active presence on Facebook:
1. Enhanced Visibility: A Facebook Page increases your club's visibility within the community. It serves as a public face for your club, making it easier for people to find and learn about your activities, missions, and events.
2. Community Engagement: Facebook provides a platform for direct interaction with community members. You can share updates, photos, and stories, and receive feedback and comments. This two-way communication helps build a strong, engaged community around your club.
3. Event Promotion: Promoting events on Facebook can significantly boost attendance and participation. You can create event pages, send invitations, and share updates to keep everyone informed and excited about upcoming activities.
4. Member Recruitment: A vibrant Facebook Page can attract potential new members. By showcasing your club’s projects, achievements, and community impact, you can inspire others to join and contribute to your cause.
5. Resource Sharing: Share valuable resources, such as newsletters, meeting minutes, and training materials, directly on your Facebook Page. This makes it easy for members to access important information and stay informed.
6. Fundraising Opportunities: Utilize Facebook’s fundraising tools to raise money for your projects. You can create donation drives, share fundraising campaigns, and connect with a broader audience willing to support your initiatives.
7. Networking: Connect with other Lions Clubs and community organizations. Collaborating and networking on Facebook can lead to new partnerships and opportunities to amplify your club’s efforts.
8. Real-Time Updates: Keep your members and the community updated in real-time. Whether it’s a change in meeting time or an urgent call for volunteers, Facebook ensures your message is quickly disseminated.
In summary, a Facebook Page is a powerful tool for any Lions Club. It enhances visibility, fosters community engagement, promotes events, aids in member recruitment, facilitates resource sharing, opens fundraising opportunities, enables networking, and provides real-time updates. If your club hasn’t set up a Facebook Page yet, now is the time to do so and take advantage of all the benefits it offers!

As your District 2-E2 Marketing Manager, I am thrilled to introduce myself, Kevin Cook from the Keller Lions Club, as your next Newsletter Editor. I'll be sending out the District Newsletter during the 2024-25 Lions Year. I look forward to working with you all and encourage you to share any information you’d like to see featured in the District 2-E2 Newsletter.
I also manage our district's social media pages and would greatly appreciate your help in sharing information about your club activities. Photos are a fantastic way to showcase your presence in your communities. Additionally, I will be introducing a "Marketing" section in each newsletter. Keep those lines of communication open and let me know what would be helpful for you.
With my extensive marketing experience and expertise, I am eager to contribute to our District. If you’re interested in boosting your Lions Club’s visibility, I’d be happy to meet with those in your club who are keen on marketing. Feel free to reach out to me or our current District Marketing Manager to arrange a live meeting. Increasing your club’s visibility helps every other club in the District and State!
