Texas Lions District 2-E2 is proud to support the Lions Sight Restoration Foundation (LSRF)—a nonprofit committed to restoring vision and dignity for individuals across North Texas. Formerly known as the Lions Organ and Eye Bank, LSRF builds on a decades-long legacy of sight-saving service by providing direct assistance for medical procedures, hosting vision screening events, and offering scholarships that raise awareness of blindness and diabetes.
Lions Sight Restoration Foundation
The Lions Sight Restoration Foundation (LSRF) is a tax-exempt, nonprofit foundation affiliated with Texas Lions District 2-E2. LSRF works to:
- Support individuals who require eye-related surgeries but lack financial resources
- Promote eye and organ donation education
- Coordinate free community vision screenings
- Sponsor educational initiatives like the Diabetes Awareness Essay Contest
- Facilitate club involvement in patient referrals, privacy support, and follow-up
Together with our Lions Clubs, we reach those in need and ensure that no one is denied the opportunity to restore their sight due to cost barriers.
LSRF's Core Services
- Financial Assistance for Eye Surgeries – Helping cover the cost of essential procedures for those without insurance or access
- Vision Screening Events – Local clubs request equipment and organize community screening days
- Diabetes Awareness Essay Contest – Educating youth while awarding scholarships up to $2,000
- Educational Outreach – Distributing forms and guidance to sponsoring clubs and community leaders
- Vision Referrals and Sponsorship Support – Helping Lions Clubs navigate sponsorship and confidentiality
When I received help from LSRF, I was able to get the surgery I needed to see again—and to live independently.

Get Involved: Club Support is Vital
Local Lions Clubs are essential to LSRF’s success. Clubs sponsor patients, verify eligibility, assist with applications, and provide post-surgery support. Every screening, referral, or form delivered represents our shared commitment to restoring vision and renewing lives.
If your club is interested in organizing a screening or sponsoring an applicant, visit the LSRF Resources Page or email gro.2e2frsl @ofni to get started.
Clubs are the heart of our mission. Lions help patients feel seen—literally and figuratively.
Lions Sight Restoration Foundation: A Legacy of Service
LSRF continues to honor its original vision under its new name and expanded mission. Whether providing direct care or advancing community health education, LSRF represents the enduring power of Lions service in action.
